My husband and I stayed at Wildhorse Resort for 5 nights over the 4th of July.
We have stayed there before, and enjoyed Plateau, their gourmet restaurantand fully intended to eat there every night of our stay.
The first night we booked a reservation late afternoon, so had no expectations.
However, upon our arrival there were tables available by the windows, and the Pow Wow was in progress outside; we were hoping to watch from the window as we dined.
We requested a window table, and were told by Rachel, apparently the hostess, that those tables were reserved and we could not sit there.
So the THIRD night we specifically this web page for a window table when we made the reservation.
When we arrived, despite the fact that there was an empty table by the window, were told by Rachel, there had been some mistake and our reservation had not specified a window table, so we could not sit there!!!!!!!!
We said we had indeed made this request at the time we booked the reservation, but she flatly refused to seat us by the window, around 6:30 as I recall and informed us.

Rachel never came back to our table, never offered to move us, and in fact specifically refused to let the bus boy move us at one point when we asked if he could.
We were so irritated by the time we were ready to leave that we decided to ask for the manager.
Rather reluctantly he offered to take 20% off our bill for the frustration.
Far too little too late at the Plateau.
What a pity that despite the great food, we were left with a very bad taste in our mouth from the Plateau Restaurant.
The food was great and the staff great and we had a great view out their window!!
And, again, friendly staff, and a window view.
While there is a wonderful view from almost every seat in our dining room, we do only have two tables that can accommodate a party of two at the window and both of those tables had been reserved for anniversaries earlier in the click />From the reservation book I see the first table was sat at 5:30, so when you arrived at 6:30 that one was already in progress.
While you were seated at a larger table at the window, our hostess should have offered to move you to one of the other tables either when the first table left or 15 minutes after the second table did not show up for their reservation.
I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed both the food and server on this evening and on past visits.

I am amazed how well the rooms have held up.
This is a busy place, full most nights, so I know there is wear and tear.
The room was as lovely as remembered, we were on an upper floor and and a great view of a thunderstorm heading our way from the West.
I would say that this is the NICEST hotel in Eastern Oregon for the price.
Room tip: The older part is not the Tower, those rooms are smoker's rooms.
It is more low end motel.
Views are nice- click here and low mountains.

For a Casino resort they failed in many ways, no in room directory of escape routes in case of emergency, no in room directory of the property or its amenities, when I asked for one they brought me a credit card sized nothing, very disappointing to say the least, the Wild Horse in Phoenix is way ahead of this one in cleanliness and amenities by far.
Room tip: Make sure you dont get the Jr Suite by the entry doors, loud and it is next to the cleaning services room, bang boom clang, appreciate the time you gave in leaving this review.
Our courtyard rooms are in the older section.
We are diligently working on improvements to this area but the major leap forward will come when this 2 story wood structure is replaced with a second luxury high rise hotel tower in 2020.
I do know that learn more here security doors do self-close and that our security team checks them on hourly walkthroughs I receive a written report every time a door is found unsecure.
I can say with confidence that we are the safest hotel in the Eastern Oregon.

We were there for the golf.
They have a very nice course with reasonable rates.
Our room was in what they call the Courtyard.
They are the least expensive and, I believe, may be the oldest on the property.
The bed was very comfortable and the room clean.
We often stay at Best Westerns where a breakfast room is included.
Not the case at Wildhorse.
We are non-smokers so we are sensitive to accommodation policies for smoking.
It appears that much of can wsop 2020 global casino message hotel is non-smoking and our room was fine.
We stayed here before and had trouble finding a non-smoking room, so I think they may have increased the non-smoking inventory.
They have several golf packages that include a room.
These can be a good deal although the rates for seniors are such that for a one night stay during the week you don't need the package.

The courtyard hotel is the original 2 story hotel structure with 99 rooms.
A portion of this wing offers smoking rooms.
Our hotel tower was built nearly 6 years ago and is 100% smoke free.
We do have one of the best golf courses in the area and our golf packages offer significant value.

The other couple travelling with us had eaten in the Sports Bar previously and had recommended it but it check this out a live music night when we arrived and the volume made conversation impossible.
We opted for another restaurant area with a fixed price buffet and no live music.
The price was reasonable but the quality of the food was questionable.
There was a good selection of starters but my main course of deep fried chicken was greasy and really pretty awful.
The desserts were the sort you can buy on a cheap supermarket.
I should say that the only way to reach the food is through the very busy casino and that there may have been other eating areas we didn't find.
One plus was that I left my sunglasses on the counter when checking in, and the girl who checked us in remembered that they were there - the other receptionist told me that there was nothing she could do because the lady who did lost and found had gone home, and wouldn't be back till after we were due to leave in the morning.
All on all, because there is nowhere else to eat in the area, I can't recommend the hotel if you want a place to stay for the night and a good meal.
I'd suggest that you should eat in Pendleton before checking in if you are on a journey.
We had chosen to stay at this hotel mainly because it was half way to our real destination and we did not want any long drive.
Liking to play a little black jack was also a draw.
Easy enough to do and worth the minimum trouble to drop the price of the room and meals and add some gambling perks.
Apparently this is only available on Tuesdays and I am not sure if it is only available to seniors or not.
Either way it is definitely worth checking out.
