I used my free play credits on the card machines and used the machine to play Blackjack.I played until I used up my free credits and then cashed out.
I then walked around the casino floor and noticed a few of their tables were accepting Canadian money.
I had some Canadian money with me so opted to play some real Blackjack at the table with my Canadian money.
The Blackjack games aren't the most favourable towards players it is a multi-deck game where dealer hits on soft 17 and there is no surrender but at least it pays 3-2 unlike similar low table games in Las Vegas which pay 6-5.
After playing ~15 hands, I decided to cash out with only a slight loss they obviously pay back in Canadian funds if gambling with Canadian funds.
I increase my earlier rating from 3 stars to 3.
The reason for the higher rating is the accepting of Canadian money.
Free play continues to work here on the card machines which is rare or non-existent in Las Vegas casinos that I've visited.
They also continue to have the free self serve soft drink dispenser machine within the casino.
The Spa inside the hotel was nice, small, and relaxing.
By far the best massage I have ever received was by Nathaniel.
The Maple Steakhouse was soooo good.
However the front desk staff is horrible.
I will only go back to visit the Spa and Nathaniel for a massage never again will we stay inside the hotel.
The inside pool area a man was allowed to swim with a huge open wound on his leg that covered his entire leg it was not bandaged up.
This is sad for us cause we frequent casinos and this hotel is not great.
We've been here three days and slept on sheets that haven't been changed although I've made that and two other conditions clear to the front desk both days.
When my wife turned down the bed as we retired Friday night she discovered two facial tissues, one used, evidence bedding wasn't changed?
I reported it, left a list with two other issues at the desk Saturday before the room was made up.
Nothing changed-when we turned down the sheets last night, it was evident they still hadn't been changed and the other issues weren't addressed.
This morning I again reported the issues to the front desk and left a damaged iron issue 2 with hotel personnel.
We returned to our room mid afternoon; it was made up but, again, the bedding hadn't been changed and mohawk casino shows sticky bathroom floor issue 3 hadn't been addressed.
We called the front desk, asked to speak to a manager about the issue, were directed to housekeeping where we asked for bedding and changed the bed ourselves.
We will not stay here again.

Bottom line-it's a casino not a resort.

There was a coffee maker, but no cups or coffee!

But I guess you needed to bring your own cups.
Yep there are two but one was out of order all weekend.
The result was packed elevators and LONG waits.
You would think they could have got an elevator repair guy to show up in 3 days.
But I guess not.
This place is a perfect example of crappy customer service.
I spend about 6-10 a month traveling for business and this is by far the worst place I have stayed in years.

Very bad service, very rude supervisor, very unhappy customers.
Outstanding food in a relaxed atmosphere.
My wife and I always choose this restaurant for special occasions.

Oddly enough both venues have good buffet places as I'm from Ontario.
When asked about the Hull Casino Laclemey in Quebec the high calibre of dress is very compatible to all 3 when being compared.
That being said while the standards are very high at all 3 places for read article things.
In terms of restaurant dress style of the staff it's literally a toss mohawk casino shows as the Elegance of dress was a tie at this particular venue vs Hull Casino restaurant staff and that's saying something very positive here!
For years since Hull Laclemey opened their restaurant dress code for employees was very high.

We read previous reviews and decided to try it ourselves.
We were not disappointed.
The food is excellent.
The prime rib was delicious and melted in your mouth, while the Delmonico steak and lobster dish was equally as good.
Our server, Darcy, was friendly and attentive and made the dining experience very pleasant.
This is definitely a must to return the next time we visit the area.

I just happened to visit this establishment on the opening night of they're new restuarant mohawk casino shows "Sticks".
Now typically new restaurants require reservations, but when I inquired they said no reservation were needed.
I inquired and the host told us that only "Local" patron's were being allowed in for the first two weeks.
I also noticed when they mean "local" they meant only people from the Indian reservation??
I didn't know discrimination was still going on?
So we decided on the only other choice the "buffet".
The buffet was mediocre at best.
The slot selection was good with many new titles available.
While playing we found that the floor waitresses yes another FEMALE only wait staff c'mon America!!
Alcoholic beverages were served but were not complimentary.
Table games included: roulette, 3-card poker, blackjack, Pai-gow, let it ride and craps.
Tables seemed plentiful for the amount of traffic and were located between the slot areas.
here played several different tables and got completely annoyed at the amount of "French" speaking Canadians and the large amount of smokers!!
There were NO non-smoking tables that I could see available.
Free slot play was simple enough, enter your numbered combo and it was added to your machine but not all machines.
Two of us are Max bet players and the other two play middle bets and were completely broke within 40 minutes!!!!
How is this possible???
This was the WORST Casino that we've ever been too in relation to game play.
So summary: Treated like second class citizen's and discriminated upon and were completely appalled at the game play!!

They asked if I had a driver's license so I also gave them my driver's license.
When they handed me my card, they also gave me one of their plastic "spring" holder not sure what you call it for my card and can be clipped onto my waistband belt loop While I was wandering around to decide which game to play, a security guard stopped me and mentioned that they don't allow backpacks onto the casino floor.
I had my expensive camera gear in my backpack and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it on the bus.
The security guard mentioned that I could check it in in the front at the coat check.
Now, I've been going to Las Vegas at least once every year for the past 9 years or so and I've never had any issues with walking through the casino or even playing machines while carrying my backpack.
I then went back into the casino and decided to see which games I could use with the free play credit.
I was assuming that it was just the slot machine but was surprised to see that I could also use it on their multi-game video card machines.
I inserted my card and punched in my PIN and the machine identified me.

I then rested at the entrance of the casino while I waited for the departure of the bus back to Montreal.
Since the bus wasn't departing for a few hours, I decided to go back into the casino but this time I went into the casino from not the main entrance.
When I did this, I looked at some of the items on the wall and the security guard at this entrance asked me if I was going to the casino or whether I was checking into a room.
I mentioned that I was going into the casino.
She asked me if she could inspect my backpack and I mentioned that she could.
She took a quick look and saw that there was only my camera in my backpack along with my tablet.
As I was going back into the casino, I asked her why I was forced to check in my backpack at the other entrance and she mentioned that they don't really allow bags on the casino floor but I should be fine.
The sign at this entrance also mentioned that they have the right to inspect bags on the way in as well as on the way out.
Went back into the casino and wondered around a bit and got another cup of Diet Pepsi before heading back to the main entrance and waiting for the bus to go back to Montreal.

The gaming floor has both smoking and non-smoking sections.
We have air ionizers on the gaming floor but none at the entrance.

We are always happy to bring up more towels.
In one year we can save the electricity and water needed to wash over 40,000 sets of towels - quite a savings to the environment.

The doors to the casino kept out all the ambient bells and noise from the slot machines, so it was very easy to hold a conversation.
An excellent meal in an excellent location.
Went in the morning when it was less busy.
Got free play money for being new, plus free play money and a free buffet pass for it being my birth month.
I wish there was less smoking though.
Smoking and non smoking sections kind of flow into each other.
Found myself forced to retreat from machines a few times due to smoke.
Had a wonderful meal here at the Mapleroom Steakhouse!!
The food was prepared perfectly the waitress was pleasant and professional and overall we were totally satisfied.

Given the food portions are better at the Akwasasne resort I have to say that one gets better value here at Akwasasne casino resort.
Maybe one venue in Ontario compares in terms of the quality of food and quality and that's Casino Ramma when comparing non buffet style.
Oddly enough both venues have good buffet places as I'm from Ontario.
When asked about the Hull Casino Laclemey in Quebec the high calibre of dress is very compatible to all 3 when being compared.
That being said while the standards are very high at all 3 places for different things.
In terms of restaurant dress style of the staff it's literally a toss up as the Elegance of dress was a tie at this particular venue vs Hull Casino restaurant staff and that's saying something very positive here!
For years since Hull Laclemey opened their restaurant dress code for employees was very high.
I was impressed to see that trend carried out in other venues too and it's nice too see that here too.
I wish there was sports betting that would be one thing I would like to see at this Casino besides a full no smoking on the gaming floor or have enough space so it doesn't cross over into the non smoking section.
I am aware that this Casino faces alot of competition from Turning Stone.
Overall this restaurant did really well.
The value,the environment,the elegence,menu etc.
I look forward to dining again.
Warning don't mix the pork belly and steak you'll be too full to eat your main course!
I should have listened and kept room for the steak dinner.

We read previous reviews and decided to try it ourselves.
We were not disappointed.
The food is excellent.
The prime rib was delicious and melted in your mouth, while the Delmonico steak and lobster dish was equally as good.
Our server, Darcy, was friendly and attentive and made the dining experience very pleasant.
This is definitely a must to return link next time we visit the area.
I am a definite casino guy.
I travel all over the United States and Canada to play and enjoy my time.
Akwesasne Mohawk Casino I appreciate small casinos, especially if they have a good selection of slot machines and various restaurants more than just a buffet.

I just happened to visit this establishment on the opening night of they're new restuarant call "Sticks".
Now typically new restaurants require reservations, but when I inquired they said no reservation were needed.
I inquired and the host told us that only "Local" patron's were being allowed in for the first two weeks.
I also noticed when they mean "local" they meant only people from the Indian reservation??
I didn't know discrimination was still going on?
So we decided on the only other choice the "buffet".
The buffet was mediocre at best.
The slot selection was good with many new titles available.
While playing we found that the floor waitresses yes another FEMALE only wait staff c'mon America!!
Alcoholic beverages were served but were not complimentary.
Table games included: roulette, 3-card poker, blackjack, Pai-gow, let it ride and craps.
Tables seemed plentiful for the amount of traffic and were located between the slot areas.
I played several mohawk casino shows tables and got completely annoyed at the amount of "French" speaking Canadians and the large amount of smokers!!
There were NO non-smoking tables that I could see available.
Free slot play was simple enough, enter your numbered combo and it was added to your machine but not all machines.
Two of us are Max bet players and the other two play middle bets and were completely broke within 40 minutes!!!!
How is this possible???
This was the WORST Casino that we've ever been too in relation to game play.
So summary: Treated like second class citizen's and discriminated upon and were completely appalled at the game play!!
We expect to lose, as a rule we play for entertainment only, but 40 minutes??
We won't be back!!
